FIRST NAMES FOR DESERTFEST BERLIN 2027
Here we go: the first names for Desertfest Berlin 2027 have landed!
Leading our first wave are the one and only MELVINS. For more than four decades, Buzz Osborne and co. have been bending the rules of heavy
music, dragging punk, doom, sludge and pure weirdness into a sound entirely their own. Hugely influential, gloriously unpredictable and still crushingly heavy – we couldn’t be happier to welcome them to Desertfest Berlin!
Joining them at the top of the bill are Swedish adventure rock masters HÄLLAS! ⚔️ With their unmistakable blend of 70s prog, hard rock, twin guitars, synths and fantasy storytelling, Hällas have built a universe entirely of their own. Following the release of their fourth album Panorama in 2026, they’re bringing their latest chapter to Berlin.
And that’s FAR from all: Brooklyn noise merchants A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS bring their beautifully deafening collision of shoegaze, psych and noise rock, while BONGRIPPER are set to crush Berlin with an exclusive German show. And there’s another special one: SMOKE BLOW will celebrate 30 YEARS with us with a very special anniversary show! 💥
Also joining the first wave are VILLAGERS OF IOANNINA CITY, GNOME, INTER ARMA, PRIMITIVE RING, CARDIEL, SPOOKY EYES - playing one of their first European Shows, PINK FUZZ, SPECK and VINNUM SABBATHI.
And believe us: we’re only getting started.
