Dope Purple is a five-piece psychedelic noise rock / space-psychedelic band from Taipei, Taiwan, formed around 2016. Their sound is a blend of hard rock, fuzz-and-distorted guitars, dark synths, heavy feedback and improvisation, often with a ritualistic, intense live feel. The band draws on Western hard rock, Japanese underground/ noise-psych rock, and Taiwan’s underground scene influences. Releases include Grateful End (2019) and their more recent album Children in the Darkness (2025), which was recorded during a midnight live session in Revolver, Taipei.
