Black Pyramid (US)

Black Pyramid formed in Northampton Massachusetts in 2007. With their down-tuned and blown out sound, the cosmic doom power trio released a three-song demo and quickly developed a reputation as one of the loudest and most powerful live bands in the region. Influenced by cult metal, doom, sludge, progressive rock and psychedelic music, the band solidified their sound with their debut 2009 album on Meteorcity Records. This self-titled album is considered by many fans and critics alike to be a classic of the genre and has seen multiple reissues due to its acclaim within the underground.
